“I am just sending a quick note to say thanks for all you do.  When my plotthound Max died my heart did break and I really thought I would never be able to have another dog…….well, along came Snickers.  She has made our lives full again and she has helped me move beyond the grief for Max and I am now able to remember him when he was Snicker’s age, healthy, playful and pain free. She is soooooo…..bad sometimes (not really) but I cannot imagine not having her.  Thanks again for matchmaking”

ADOPTABLE DAWGS

Gunter

Gunter is a 2 year old American Bulldog or American Pit Bull Terrier mixed maybe with pointer that was saved from being euthanized at a high kill shelter in NC.  Gunter is a gentle boy who loves affection.  Gunter is house trained, crate trained and working on basic commands.  Gunter gets along well with other dogs and love people.  Gunter would be good with kids because he doesn’t care if you pull on his ears, play with his face, or with his feet. Gunter is full grown and weighs 60lbs.

Gunter is neutered and up to date on all his shots.

George………Adoption Pending

George is a very handsome, happy-go-lucky young boy who is looking for the love of his life.
He loves to play and snuggle with his foster family and their English Mastiff, Tank.
He seems to love everyone. He is intelligent and athletic and would make a great running partner,
Frisbee buddy, agility dog or just a fantastic friend for an active person of family.

Gorgeous George was rescued by a very sweet couple who found him wandering in a parking lot in
December 07. He was in terrible condition; half-starved and with demodectic mange and a severely
broken leg. They were afraid that he was going to lose his leg, but the couple generously opted to
pay for a last-chance operation and it was a success! Because of their love and generosity, George is
now healthy, happy, and ready for his new home.

George is good with kids. Because of his high energy level, however, a home with older kids would be
best. George is afraid of cats here at Dizzi Dawgs.  He is a big goofy love bug that loves affection and  cuddling.
He is housetrained and currently learning some basic obedience.

George is neutered and up to date on all his shots.

Dax

Dax was born 12/10/03 in Hickory, NC were I am currently located. Dax is a mixed dog but as far as I can tell he looks like part Chocolate Lab/Staff shire Terrier (pit bull). Dax is a great dog who loves his family and friends. He is one of the most athletic dogs I have ever seen. He would be great for someone who likes to run, ride a bike, or is active. Dax is neutered and has had all of his shots. He also takes a heart worm preventative once a month. Since Dax was a puppy he has been feed Science Diet food. When Dax was about 2 years old he was trying to jump the fence. So how a piece of the fence poked his right eye and he lost the site of his right eye. Just in the last few months Dax has gotten out of my fenced in back yard and barked at some neighbor's including my land lord. My land lord gave me the option to find Dax a new home or move. I love Dax but simply cannot afford to move. Dax was raised with another dog and cat. So he is pretty good with other animals even dogs that he does not know. He has not been around a lot of children but the few he has been around he did fine. Dax is house trained but loves to be outside. He sleeps inside my house at night but the rest of the time he is outside. Dax will bark at strange people if he does not know them but I have not seen anyone who he will not let pet him.

Sam

Sam is approximately 1.5 year old terrier (?) mix (maybe you can help me there).  He was set out on the side walk at about 2am one lonely morning when he was about two months old.  Fortunately he had someone see him being dropped out and he was picked up and taken to a safe home.

He loves to play and run with other dogs.  His energy level is very high and he loves the outdoors - having other dogs around is definitely what he needs with a chance to be outdoors on a regular basis.  He is quite a wrestler when it comes to playing with other dogs and can do this for hours.  He also loves to play with humans; having somebody throw him a ball or run after him once he has a toy is great fun for him.

He loves human affection and will curl up right in your lap and take a nap.  He often wants to be near a human when he is sleeping and will lie as close to the person as possible when he is sleeping.  He is able to sit and stay on command unless too distracted.  He has also learned that his owner goes out the door first, not him.  Walking on the leash is a bit hard at times because he wants to be able to GO! But he can be told to calm down and usually remembers to keep walking with his owner.

Sam is neutered and up to date on his shots.  If interested in Sam … contact Rebecca at royals7nc@lycos.com or rebeccaroyals@aol.com

Gracie and Shadow are brother and sister.  If they could be adopted together that would be preferred however they can be separated.

Gracie - 5 years old - 55 lbs. - Gray and Black color

Aussie/Golden mix

Hello my name is Gracie and the folks who have me now are not trying to find me a home because they don’t care or because I am mean.  One of them is sick and they want the best for me because they do care.

I will bark at you at first but after a little attention and get to know you time we are friends forever. I will just lick you and let you know I will look after you. I am smart I come when you call, and go where you direct me. The folks who have me now have not really focused on tricks but I tell you if you wanted to teach me a few I would surely try my best for you because I love attention. I like to run give me the space and watch me go.

I like dry dog food or anything you would want me to have because I also like to eat and am not picky on that.

Now I have to be honest I am used to being with my brother which he and I get along great, and by the way there is a home needed for him too.

I want you to know also I have been spayed and my shots are up to date and my health is good and I am ready for you take me and I promise to be faithful and good as you have me be. My folks at this time would be so happy to know I have someone to love me as they have.

I have spent most of time around adults, children I have only seen around the neighborhood and I am busy barking at them and I guess that is why they don’t try to pet me, I just want you to know that. I think some social time and I would be ok.  One more thing I am inside or outside I like either and I will not do any boo boos in the house.

                                                                                   Love Gracie

Aussie/Golden mix

Hello my name is Shadow and I want to let you know I am in need of someone to share their home with me. I would like to say the folks who have me now are not trying to get me a home because I am mean or because they don’t care. There is sickness and it is because they do care I get the best.

I will be honest I am shy and I will bark at you at first but after we have some social time and get to know one another, I will be your friend forever. I am smart, you know I have to brag. I will come and go when you want, Now the folks I am with have not focused on teaching me tricks but if you want to do that I am ready to learn and easy to pick up on new things. I have not been around other dogs except my sister and by the way she is in need of a home, I bark really loud at those dogs and that darn fence keeps me out of maybe some trouble.  Hey me and sis get along great!!!!!

I have spent most of my time with adults and the kids I have seen around the neighborhood, and I spent time barking at them and I guess that is why they have not been over to pet me. I think if I had some social time on that matter I would be ok.

I am not a picky eater and I do love snacks, I love to run and play, give me the space and watch me go.

I have been neutered and I won’t be visiting the ladies and getting in trouble, my shots are up to date and I am in good health. I am inside or outside both are ok with me, I will not do any boo boos in the house.

I will be a friend and be your best buddy and will share lots of my kisses and you sure would give my folks peace of mind if I had your love and home.

                                                                                                                             Love Shadow
